Fashion Access: Where to Search, Source and Sub-contract Accessories for Spring / Summer 2017

HONG KONG /PRNewswire/ — From 22 — 24 September at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre, the Spring / Summer edition of Fashion Access will be taking place. APLF is the event organiser of Fashion Access and Cashmere World.

The new fair dates have placed Fashion Access nearer its sister event, the UBM’s Asia’s Fashion Jewellery & Accessories Fair – September also held in Hong Kong which helps complement the theme of Head-to-toe fashion by bringing fashion jewellery into the mix of fashion accessories for interested buyers.

Fashion Access was established more than 30 years ago in 1984 and its long-term reputation and credibility have ensured that it remains the leading fashion accessories fair in Asia. It is held concurrently with Cashmere World, so as to provide buyers and designers with access to “Head-to-Toe” fashion.

Fashion accessories ranging from bags, footwear, small leathergoods, garments, materials components and cashmere and fine fibre finished goods are all to be found in one place. The price range is for mid-range fashion items and hence appeals to a broader public and the professional buyers such as wholesalers and distributors that serve them.

The fair operates on more than one level – buyers can source for mid to upper range branded fashion goods directly from exhibitors but there is also an extra dimension. This lies in the fact that there are more than 200 exhibitors that offer original equipment and original design sub-contracted fashion manufacturing services for designers, boutiques and department stores that wish to develop their own collections.

The Spring / Summer edition is of special interest to buyers sourcing footwear as a group of leading Brazilian manufacturers will be present displaying their style and design flair that is peculiar to Brazilian women’s footwear.

These Brazilian exhibitors include:

Grendene – The country largest manufacturer of injected sole footwear. Its brands include Melissa, Grendha, Zaxy, Rider, Cartago, Ipanema, Pega Forte.
Beira Rio – One of the largest ladies shoes manufacturer in Brazil.
Calcados Q-Sonho – Part of the Stephanie Classic Group renowned internationally in Asia for ladies casual shoes. Have worked with renowned Hong Kong shoe companies such as Playlord, Le Saunda and Wing On.
Opananken Antistress Calcados – Shoes to help you relax and combat the stress of daily life especially for ladies needing comfort.
J.Jacometi Industria De Calçados – Offers men’s casual shoes including oxfords, derbies, wingtip brogues, longwings, sneakers and loafers.

Taiwan will also be making an appearance at this September’s Fashion Access fair. There are two footwear manufacturers participating – Trivict Co. and its sister company Bussola. Both companies were founded almost 40 years ago and have developed a reputation for superb design and craftsmanship.

Trivict started its activities as an OEM manufacturer back in 1978 and has now moved up the scale to design two collections a year for its customers. The design team at Trivict has great influence from the centre of design excellence Italy but has always made its top priority comfort and has Italian technicians on site to supervise quality and control.

Bussola’s collections range from traditional lace-up leather shoes through slip-ons for casual wear to Roman type sandals for the fashion conscious woman around town. There is also a wide selection of half boots and yet more sandals that are designed and made to be worn either with skirts or trendier jean style living.

Quality and comfort are just as important for Bussola as they are for Trivict.
