Ruthenium is similar to iridium and comes as a silver-white hard and brittle metal. Mainstream Renewable Power Wins Seven Government Contracts in Chile to Build One Gigawatt of Wind Energy Plants Worth USD $1.65bn

Global wind and solar energy company Mainstream Renewable Power was today awarded contracts by the National Energy Commission of Chile to build and operate seven utility-scale wind energy plants with a combined capacity of 986MW. The projects, awarded via twenty year term contracts, are located throughout Chile and are scheduled to begin supplying low-cost, clean energy into the grid from January 2021.

Mainstream was one of the leading beneficiaries in what was the most competitive and biggest electricity tender in the country’s history. Eighty-four companies submitted 85,000 gigawatt hours (GWh) of bids for just over 12,000 GWh of available power – nearly seven times more power bid than could be awarded. This round also marks the first time Mainstream has participated independently in a Chilean bid and all projects are 100% Mainstream owned.

Since entering the Chilean market in 2009, Mainstream has built up the most comprehensive portfolio of wind and solar energy projects among its peers in the country, extending to over 2,000 megawatts across Chile. Through its joint venture with Actis (“Aela Energia”), Mainstream also has an additional 300 megawatts of wind projects (which it won in the 2015 auction) due to start construction in Chile this year to deliver energy in 2017 as well as a 33 megawatt wind farm which has been in operation since 2014.

ResMed Takes Fisher & Paykel to Court over Patents

SAN DIEGO /PRNewswire/ — ResMed (NYSE: RMD), the world’s leading tech-driven medical device company and innovator in sleep-disordered breathing and respiratory care, announced today it has filed legal actions with the United States International Trade Commission, the United States District Court for the Southern District of California in San Diego (3:16-cv-02072-JAH-MDD), as well as courts in New Zealand and Germany, to stop the infringement of its patented technology by New Zealand-based medical device manufacturer Fisher & Paykel Healthcare.

In the U.S. International Trade Commission, ResMed seeks an injunction banning importation of Fisher & Paykel Simplus full face mask, Eson nasal mask and Eson 2 nasal mask. In the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, ResMed asserts that Fisher & Paykel Healthcare’s Simplus full face mask, Eson nasal mask and Eson 2 nasal mask infringe ResMed’s patents relating to modular mask systems, headgear design, and cushion design. ResMed also asked the San Diego court to invalidate patents that Fisher & Paykel recently asserted against ResMed, to declare that ResMed does not infringe those patents, or both.

ResMed has also initiated preliminary injunction proceedings in Germany, and a suit in New Zealand, to stop infringement in those countries. In the German proceedings, the District Court in Munich has already entered two preliminary injunctions to stop the sale of Simplus, Eson and Eson 2 masks in Germany based on infringement of German parts of two of ResMed´s European patents. In New Zealand, ResMed is asking an Auckland court to stop Fisher & Paykel from manufacturing and exporting infringing masks from that country.

Chubb Names Adam Clifford as New Country President for Singapore

G2A’s Annual ‘Open Doors’ International Media Conference at Gamescom 2016, Cologne Germany

Journalists and special interest Virtual Reality and e-sports specialists attended from several countries to hear what the world’s fastest growing digital gaming marketplace had to say about recent innovations and developments. This is the second Media Conference organized by G2A during Gamescom.

Gamescom is the most popular and Europe’s biggest trade fair for interactive games and entertainment and the world’s largest annual gaming event since 2009, (measured by exhibition space and number of visitors) with 345,000 visitors, more than 6,000 journalists and 700 exhibitors from 88 countries.

Since 2015 G2A grew surprisingly fast. Within a year, the number of customers increased from 4 million to 10 million, number of new monthly customers increased from 250 thousand to 400 thousand, number of sellers increased from 50 thousand to 250 thousand, number of digital products on the G2A Marketplace increased from 18 thousand to 37 thousand and the number of employees increased from 300 to 650+. This year CEO of G2A Bartosz Skwarczek focused on promises made and kept. He spoke of the hard work since Gamescom 2015. Bartosz explained about how the marketplace had introduced a developers support system, following by front end verifications and culminating in the launch of G2A Direct.

G2A.COM ‘Open Doors’ International Media Conference @ Gamescom 2016 was live streamed on G2A’s Facebook and Twitch.

Guests were invited to a celebration party to enjoy the successes together with the G2A team and also to give more feedback on what should be improved.

G2A moves ahead to enable 2 billion gamers that exist in the world to meet their needs and to give passionate gamers the opportunity to have a full time job or career within the gaming industry.
