All it takes to unlock the deal is to pre-pay for it — a swipe and password entry is all it takes upon a one-time registration — via Visa Checkout on SweetSpot Mobile App, using any Visa credit or debit card. To claim the meal, just present the mobile coupon as proof of purchase at participating KRR restaurants, between 6 pm and 9 pm.

SweetSpot is currently the only mobile app in the region to feature this easy to use, fast and secure payment platform by Visa which is integrated into the app so that users do not have to leave the app to make a payment.

“Today’s shoppers are increasingly comfortable with and more willing to adopt digital shopping when payment is made frictionless,” said General Manager of Sweet Spot Digital (Malaysia) Nicholas Foong. “Knowing that they are paying via a Visa platform will give them firm assurance of security and reliability, hence our partnership with Visa.”

According to Visa Country Manager for Malaysia, Mr. Ng Kong Boon, this sweet partnership is aimed to deliver more benefits to those who use Visa Checkout when they pay or redeem via SweetSpot Mobile App. “We are pleased to have Sweet Spot Digital as one of our key Visa Checkout merchants. Malaysian consumers are getting increasingly digital and it is important that we provide a seamless and convenient way for them to make purchases online. In addition, we also hope to delight our cardholders with rewards and benefits and this includes the Kenny Rogers ROASTERS deal whereby cardholders can purchase a KRR a la carte quarter chicken via SweetSpot at only one Malaysian Ringgit.”

The SweetSpot-Visa-KRR RM1 a la carte quarter chicken meal deal is available at all participating Kenny Rogers ROASTERS restaurants nationwide. Downloading the app and registering for Visa Checkout are prerequisites and each user is entitled to only one deal with each registration. SweetSpot Mobile App is available in both iOS and Android platforms. Registration is free for both SweetSpot Mobile App and Visa Checkout.

SweetSpot Mobile App aims to engage with consumers by uniquely harnessing beacon technology to target, deliver and touch their sweet spot for relevant offers, deals and other brand messages. Beacon technology allows content to be delivered contextually, typically at the most opportune moment, in environments where users are envisaged to be most ready to buy e.g. in stores and malls thereby making them unexpectedly sweet.

Available in both iOS and Android versions, the app maintains brand neutrality so that multi-brand content including videos are pushed to users based on preferences that they choose. Users simply click on coupons to “favourite”, “book”, “redeem” or “buy”. The latter is supported by Visa Checkout which not only assures security and reliability but also presents a smoother. “frictionless” purchase experience. SweetSpot is currently the only mobile app in the region to feature Visa Checkout.

SweetSpot Mobile App is developed and owned by Sweet Spot Digital (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, a startup under Berjaya Corporation which aims to facilitate and improve the convergence of physical sales and marketing channels with digital channels. A proximity marketing solutions provider, the company is committed to bringing the benefits of beacon technology to its client-merchants as well as to growing the network. Over 3,000 beacons are initially being installed for many renowned brands and envisaged to grow to 10,000 sites nationwide and become one of the largest beacon networks in Malaysia.
