Cloudera Bags the 2016 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Big Data Platform Vendor of the Year Award

SINGAPORE /PRNewswire/ — Cloudera was recently honored with the 2016 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Big Data Platform Vendor of the Year award.

The award was presented to Cloudera at the 13th annual Asia Pacific ICT Awards banquet, held at the Equinox Restaurant, Swissotel the Stamford in Singapore, on June 15.

Ms. Johanna Renisa, Research Analyst at Frost & Sullivan said that Cloudera has achieved remarkable revenue and market share growth in 2015. “As a global provider of the acclaimed Apache Hadoop-based data management and analytics platform, Cloudera has enabled data-reliant businesses worldwide to gain valuable insights from structured and unstructured data,” she added.

Ms. Renisa also said that Cloudera worked closely with its partners to provide its customers with an integrated Big Data solution. “The company aims to unite Spark and Hadoop into a cohesive, enterprise-grade platform that is better integrated to maximize its customers’ return on Big Data analytics,” she added.

The contenders for the Frost & Sullivan Asia-Pacific ICT Awards were evaluated on a variety of actual market performance indicators which include revenue growth, market share and growth in market share, leadership in product innovation, breadth of products and solutions, major customer acquisitions, and business and market strategy, amongst other category-specific criteria.

A team of 30 leading Frost & Sullivan analysts and consultants based in Asia-Pacific were involved in the short listing, evaluation and research process, applying the same thorough approach that has been the hallmark of Frost & Sullivan globally.

For the final round of grading, the findings of the detailed examination were then presented to a panel of independent judges, comprising of influential personalities, decision makers and thought leaders in Asia-Pacific’s ICT industry, who have in themselves pushed the boundaries of innovation and corporate excellence within their respective fields.
