The original founder of UK’s club scene celebrated Malaysia’s Formula One weekend at Marini’s on 57 for a one night only exclusive performance

Modesto Marini, owner of Marini’s on 57 said, “Our patrons come from all over the world and especially so during the Formula One weekend here, and we pride ourselves with providing special entertainment from performers that you do not see much regionally. Danny is a globally respected DJ who is known for his deep vocal house and garage sound for over 20 years. He has successfully produced over 40 remixes and has also played at various exclusive F1 parties across the world. In the late 80’s, Danny created the blueprint for the United Kingdom (UK) rave scene and electronic music explosion. In December 2012, Danny hosted a special London Shoom event to celebrate his 25 years of Dance Music culture and was sold out in an hour.

Earlier this year, FIFA and Sony Music Entertainment announced that “We Are One (Ole Ola),” by global superstar Pitbull, featuring global superstar Jennifer Lopez and Brazilian artist Claudia Leitte, was selected as the Official Song of the upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup™ in Brazil. The song will be performed by Pitbull, together with Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte, at the FIFA World Cup™ Opening Ceremony on June 12 at the Arena de Sao Paulo.

“Dar um Jeito (We Will Find A Way)” is the brainchild of Arnon Woolfson and Pournouri who began work on the track with Wyclef, Yacoub and Falk earlier this year. Pournouri says, “In Portuguese Dar Um Jeito means to find a way around obstacles and impossibilities. With this track, we wanted to send a message of optimism and opportunity with the music and the words.”

Once the track idea was created, Santana, Pires and Avicii each added their own sound to the recording. An international cast of some of the greatest musicians in the world went into the recording; continues Pournouri, “We wanted to create the biggest track in the world for the biggest event in the world.”

ChinaPnR and V-Key Strategic Alliance — Securing over 1 Million Merchants

ChinaPnR launched the Point of Sale (POS) payment acquisition query platform “ChinaPnR POS Acquirer” on mobile platforms in June 2013, the first of its kind in China dedicated to providing professional, convenient payment acquisition and management services to small and medium-sized merchants.

Oil Insurance Limited (OIL) Declares $300 Million Dividend and Passes Experience Modification Proposal

HAMILTON, Bermuda, April 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — OIL held its 2014 Shareholder’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, March 26th at the Fairmont Southampton Hotel and conducted the review and approval of the 2013 annual financial statements and election of directors.
For 2013, OIL wrote and earned $550.4 million of premium that resulted in $53.2 million of Underwriting Income. After factoring in net investment income and administrative expenses, OIL’s net income for the year was $631.9 million. After the review of the year-end financials, shareholders approved the financial statements and the re-appointment of KPMG as auditors for the fiscal 2014 year.

Available in 14-, 20-, 28-, and 40/44-pin packages, the 11-member PIC16F170X/171X family of MCUs integrate two Op Amps to drive analog control loops, sensor amplification and basic signal conditioning, while reducing system cost and board space. The PIC16F170X/171X family features Core Independent Peripherals, such as the Configurable Logic Cell (CLC), Complementary Output Generator (COG) and Numerically Controlled Oscillator (NCO). These “self-sustaining” peripherals take 8-bit PIC® MCU performance to a new level, as they are designed to handle tasks with no code or supervision from the CPU to maintain operation. As a result, they simplify the implementation of complex control systems and give designers the flexibility to innovate. The CLC peripheral allows designers to create custom logic and interconnections specific to their application, thereby reducing external components, saving code space and adding functionality. The COG peripheral is a powerful waveform generator that can generate complementary waveforms with fine control of key parameters, such as phase, dead-band, blanking, emergency shut-down states and error-recovery strategies. It provides a cost-effective solution, saving both board space and component cost when driving FETs in half- and full-bridge drivers for control and power-conversion applications, for example. The NCO is a programmable precision linear frequency generator, ranging from <1 Hz to 500 kHz+. It offers a step up in performance, while simplifying designs requiring precise linear frequency control, such as lighting control, tone generators, radio-tuning circuitry and fluorescent ballasts.
The new MCUs feature up to 28 KB of self-read/write Flash program memory, up to 2 KB of RAM, a 10-bit ADC, a 5-/8-bit DAC, Capture-Compare PWM modules, stand-alone 10-bit PWM modules and high-speed comparators (60 ns typical response), along with EUSART, I2C™ and SPI interface peripherals. They also feature XLP technology for typical active and sleep currents of just 35 microamps/MHz and 30 nA, respectively, helping to extend battery life and reduce standby current consumption.

Modesto, known as the King of Italian Cuisine in Asia, graduated with high honours in culinary arts in Italy in 1986 after which, he spent two years working as a sous chef at a famous restaurant in Mayfair, London – a top Italian restaurant favoured by celebrities such as Sean Connery. He later spent four years in Singapore as a chef and opened two restaurants. He moved to Kuala Lumpur in 1995. Throughout his career, he has cooked for the who’s who of celebrities such as Max Biaggi, Reubens Barichello, Felipe Massa, Eric Cantona and the legendary rock group, The Scorpions.

Perched on the 57th floor of Menara 3 Petronas, Marini’s on 57 employs a three-in-one venue concept where patrons can enjoy contemporary food, great cocktails, fantastic views and music at the same time.
