Vietnam Achieves New Guinness World Records(TM) Record for the Largest Speed Dating Event at Paktor Speed Date Night

HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam, Dec. 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Paktor Speed Date Night presented by Paktor and Sagiko was held at Q4 Bar (Ho Chi Minh City) on November 30th, 2013 where 484 young singles set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ world record for the Largest Speed Dating Event. This new world record beat the previous record set in New Zealand in July 2013.

Set The Bar High

Paktor Speed Date Night broke the previous world record by a narrow 20 participants, although more than 600 singles came to take part in the event. Many participants were disqualified due to technicalities set by GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™.

Each participant had a 3-minute date with 24 other participants, which included their favorite celebrities like Dinh Tien Dat, Hari Won, Ho Vinh Khoa, Thai Trinh, Bao Anh, Maya, Si Thanh, Dustin, Thanh Thuc, Kelly, Viet My, Truong Quoc Bao, and four singers from V-Music band.

Paktor Speed Date Night was witnessed and adjudicated on site by Mr. Mark McKinley from GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™. He shared, “Today, we broke the record for the largest speed dating event… we did have to disqualify quite a lot of people because they did not fill in the forms correctly. But I’m glad to say that today, Paktor and Sagiko managed to bring 484 (qualified) entrants together to speed date, which is a brand new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title. You are officially amazing.”

Strong Social Media Presence

The event witnessed a significant social media burst with hundreds of posts and check-ins throughout the night on the Paktor Speed Date Night event fanpage on Facebook.

Party-goers grooved to great live music performed by V-Music, Cuban band Luna Negra and Maya, as well as dance performances by the MTE Dance Crew. The event was also joined by renown international DJ Timmy Vegas.
