leave a comment »

GUANGDONG, China /PRNewswire/ — Fujitsu today announced that the Fujitsu South China Data Centre has been accredited with the international standards ISO9001 and ISO27001, marking a new phase in the development of the data centre. With these two certifications, Fujitsu further enhances its technology leadership in the data centre arena, standardizing the data centre management process and providing customers with a smooth, stable and secure service.
The ISO9001 relates to requirements for quality management systems, while the ISO27001 is an information security management system (ISMS) standard. The latter is designed to help organizations ensure that they meet stringent risk management criteria. Data centres comprise a complex set of physical and environmental security measures including secure communications and operation management, access control, development and maintenance of information systems, security incident management and relevant regulations.
“Crucially, these ISO accreditations signify a benchmark for quality, security and trust. As most of our data centre customers are not end users, these certifications for the Fujitsu South China Data Centre provide clients with peace of mind, highlighting that our facility meets globally recognised standards. This in turn helps to foster trust and communication between our users and their clients from various industries and regions,” said Francis Li, General Manager of The Fujitsu South China Data Centre.
The first Tier 3+ data centre in South China
Opened on April 11, 2012, The Fujitsu South China Data Centre was Fujitsu’s first data centre in China and the company’s 100th data centre to be established across the globe. It is South China’s first Tier 3+ data centre, indicating that the facility scored highly when evaluated on redundancy of facilities, floor loading, power supply and cooling equipment, as well as downtime-free period and cost.
The Fujitsu South China Data Centre has a gross land area of 6666.7 square meters and is earthquake resistant. The data centre has one subterranean floor and four above-ground levels, providing over 12,000 square meters of floor area which can house 1,000 racks in full operation. At present, over 250 racks are in use for clients from the government, banking, finance, and insurance industries.
Connection to multiple network operators and a dual power supply guarantees high security and stability. Sustainability is ensured by green measures such as the use of efficient generators, intelligent temperature control and geothermal techniques. The data centre is able to provide 24×7 operations and flexible, dependable services including server hosting services, managed services, project services and vendor management services.
Today, an increasing number of corporations in China are demanding cloud services, especially in the areas of finance and human resources. Looking ahead, the Fujitsu South China Data Centre will continue to serve as a key link through which Fujitsu cooperates with the local government and local businesses. By integrating Fujitsu’s ETERNUS and PRIMERGY servers and storage systems, as well as top of the line cloud-management middleware, Fujitsu will work to provide high-performance cloud services to more organizations.
Worldwide, Fujitsu has more than 20 years’ experience in data centre design, construction, operation and technological innovation and operates over 100 data centres. The Fujitsu South China Data Centre maintains the same high level of security and reliability as Fujitsu’s other data centres worldwide, including those in the United Kingdom, Australia and Hong Kong.

Donauer have recently been awarded the 1MWp solar PV integration project with on-roof mounting at Namibia’s largest brewery, Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL), and their only choice of supplier for this premier project was CNPV.

“Our techno-commercial model is finely tuned to offer the client bottom line benefits,” divulged Mr. Benedikt Bohm, “and the credible demonstration of deliverables comes from the ability to provide ‘hands on’ evidence of ‘more for less’. Our continued choice of CNPV is based upon their ability to outstrip all other comparative PV suppliers’ performance on all of the criteria that matter, such as energy yield, efficiency and reliability. The CNPV-250P polycrystalline module totally compliments our requirements and facilitates our ability to push technological boundaries cost competitively, while ensuring that longevity and yields of the fundamental elements are unchallenged.”

CNPV’s COO&CTO, Mr Bypina Veerraju Chaudary, was jubilant with Donauer’s success; “It’s always exciting to be involved in pioneering projects, particularly when they are driven by visionary personnel. Not only have Donauer identified a new opportunity, created a viable solution and justified its acceptance with facts, they continue to expand their international credibility, provide regional solutions and enlarge their geographical footprint when others are contracting; We are totally honoured to participate in their strategy and equally enthusiastic about further developments from both our Companies that will add to the revenues our clients can achieve.”

With the introduction of the hybrid solar PV-diesel solution, NBL’s energy consumption costs will be significantly reduced, with the total system paying back in the shortest period of time.
