2013 CGAP Photo Contest Now Open for Entries

We are looking for original, striking images that illustrate the complex financial lives of people living in poverty and how financial inclusion makes a difference. Photos may represent a range of products, institutions, and methodologies, and may touch on a broad range of social, economic, developmental, and technological issues. We encourage entries from all regions, in both rural and urban settings. By sharing your images that demonstrate the variety of ways poor households manage household finances, you’ll help us tell a story of innovation and ingenuity in the use of financial services to improve lives.

Previous rounds of the contest have produced stunning and creative images that have been shared with organizations working in financial inclusion and global media. Last year’s contest was the most competitive to date, with 2,500 entries from 80 countries. The winning photo – “Smoke of Charcoal,” submitted by Yavuz Sariyildiz of Turkey, a former banker – received excellent exposure globally: it was displayed by PR Newswire in New York City’s Times Square, featured in two Turkish newspapers, and included in a gallery on BBC Vietnam’s website.

It has been impossible in medical history to regenerate a severed finger, which is the recognized mark of accomplishing human organ regeneration, as well as the scientific mark of going beyond all the current fields of research on human organ regeneration. We have already accomplished the regeneration of the lost part of a severed finger by cultivating the residue vital tissues (including bone tissue) of the fracture surface of the wound with the ointment of nutritional combination for severed finger. In the case of the severed finger that cannot regenerate completely, the defective part of the finger can still regenerate to its normal state by making a new fracture surface surgically.

Core mechanism: All types of tissue cells of the fracture surface of a severed finger convert in situ into stem cells which regenerate synchronically all types of damaged tissues to form the original finger according to the in situ human stem cell development procedures.

Two: The technology of regenerative rejuvenation of aging GI tract.

Gastro-duodenal ulcers are refractory diseases and often relapse. Although current medicine can promote the ulcer wound healing with scarring by using pharmaceuticals, the gastric organs will lose their original structures and functions at the wound site due to the scar formation, and the scar is vulnerable to ulcer relapse and often leads to GI dysfunction. Thus, the ulcer is not radically cured. Cultivated with our dietary capsules of regenerative nutrients for gastrointestinal ulcer regeneration, the ulcer wound can be in situ regenerated and restored to normal gastrointestinal organ tissues, achieving healing without scarring.

Seven:  Regenerative rejuvenation technology for senescent facial and neck skin

Although the middle aged have the same high vigor and spirit as the youth thanks to the improvement of life standard of human beings, their facial and neck skins inevitably experience premature aging. It would be fine if the middle-aged and senior people don’t look into a mirror; otherwise, they would lose their confidence seeing their senescent appearance, impairing their life quality seriously. Renault-Nissan Alliance Posts Record Synergies of 2.69 Billion Euros in 2012, with Particular Gains in Emerging Markets

The Renault-Nissan Alliance posted record synergies of 2.69 billion euros in 2012, up from 1.75 billion euros in the previous year.

Synergies come primarily from cost reductions and cost avoidance. Only new synergies – not cumulative synergies — are taken into account every year.

BEIJING, June 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — NSFOCUS. Distributed denial of service (DDoS) and Web attacks significantly impact Data Center and Web Hosting businesses. Both attacks are complicated, but in different ways. It raises the question: is it possible for data centers to simultaneously mitigate DDoS attacks and Web attacks both accurately and cost-effectively? Congyu Li, product manager for NSFOCUS, answered this question in a speech at the RSA Asia Pacific conference 2013. A new solution for stopping DDoS attacks and Web attacks was introduced, which is a collaborative solution between two well-known protection systems.

“It has been the consensus in the Data Center industry that the best spot to stop a DDoS attack is in the backbone of the network because the size of the attack traffic can be quite large. Data centers usually provide mitigation of DDoS attacks as a part of their infrastructure service. On the other hand, Web attacks are large in volume, but their payload goes up to the application level,” said CongYu Li. “In the current market, professional Anti-DDoS Systems (ADS) can mitigate volumetric DDoS attacks. Professional Web Application Firewalls (WAF) can mitigate Web attacks and small volumes of DDoS attacks. However, having ADS and WAF operating separately to defend against both DDoS attacks and Web attacks is not an ideal solution for data centers as Web Hosting customer cannot be transferred from DDoS attack mitigation service to Web attack mitigation service smoothly and efficiently when the attack methodology and tactics change.”

The new solution starts from Anti-DDoS module in a Web Application Firewall. The WAF can fend off small-scale DDoS attacks. If the DDoS attack is larger than the WAF can handle, it will send a notice to the ADS in the backbone of the network to take the attack traffic. The ADS will then use the IP information from the WAF to take a series of actions to mitigate the large-scale attacks of higher performance and capacity.

The collaboration of the two systems is automatic and well-functioned. For data centers, it not only provides proactive mitigation protection, but also reduces cost in both technical resources and administration.
