Release of 2012 (the 9th) China Software Export and Service Outsourcing Ranking List

NINGBO, China, May 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — On May 18th 2013, The 2013 China (Ninghai) Software Export and Service Outsourcing Conference & Release of 2012 (the 9th) China Software Export and Service Outsourcing Ranking List is held in Ninghai. This conference is hosted by www.csso.com.cn and Ninghai Science and Technology Park Administration and held under the auspices of China Software Industry Association and People’s Government of Ninghai County. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Announces Close of Pratt & Whitney Power Systems Acquisition

GLASTONBURY, Conn., May 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) announced today the completion of its acquisition of Pratt & Whitney Power Systems (PWPS). The acquired company will now be known as PW Power Systems and will be a core asset for a recognized global leader in the power generation industry.

MHI is at the forefront of innovation and has set the standard for high-efficiency power generation products by developing the most advanced gas turbine in the world. As a part of MHI’s continuing growth initiative, the acquisition will enable MHI, which focuses on large capacity systems, to reach a broader range of customers through PW Power Systems, which offers small to medium sized power generation packages.

Also receiving top honors were Nicolet Plastics Inc. and Ford Motor Company.  Both companies were recognized for having carried out the most transformative projects reviewed this year by the ML100 distinguished panel of industry judges.  Nicolet was selected as the top overall project from among all 2013 ML100 Award winners with annual revenues of under $1 billion. Ford’s Enterprise Bill of Process initiative was selected as the top overall project from among all 2013 ML100 Award winners with annual revenues of more than $1 billion.

Seven winners of ML100 High Achiever Awards and three winners of the ML100 Editors’ Choice Awards were also announced. The High Achiever Awards are presented to a select group of ML100 Award-winning projects announced earlier this year.  High Achievers received the most votes from the judges in each of the seven ML100 Award categories. Winners of the Editors’ Choice Awards were selected by members of the Manufacturing Executive editorial staff which found them to be projects that represented great potential and captured the spirit of the ML100 Awards.

Also honored were winners of the ML100 Technology Partner Awards, President’s Awards, and President Awards Platinum Club, that played key roles in helping ML100 Award winners to achieve outstanding performance.

We are delighted to announce that Food ingredients Istanbul exceeded all forecasts and expectations with the impressive amount of 3,000 visitors and a 94% rebooking rate. As a launch event, Fi Istanbul welcomed attendees from over 80 different countries, filling all aisles and bustling exhibitor stands.

It is clear that the industry responded well to this launch event. Building on the high growth rates that the food industry is experiencing in this region, Fi Istanbul provided a strong platform for all food and beverage manufacturers to source from over 150 local, regional and international food ingredients suppliers.
