Inserting at the Highest Level: The MK-Series Inserting Machine from Kern-Data

The MK-Series Inserting Machine from the Austrian engineering company Kern-Data GmbH sets new standards in inserting machines. “The MK-Series Inserting Machine is an all-in-one inserter that serves a wide range of envelope formats and handles all insertion jobs quickly and flexibly,” explained Tobias Ackermann, General Manager of Kern-Data GmbH. The inserting system will revolutionise the mailroom of every company faced with processing a large number of different format letters thanks to its compact dimensions, short resetting times and intuitive operability based on a three-button system.
The outstanding feature of the MK-Series Inserting Machine is the high speed at which the system processes different envelope sizes in the formats B6 to B4. Up to 28,000 letters size B6 to C5 are filled, sealed and outputted within an hour. The processing rate for the formats C4 to B4 is 12,000 envelopes an hour. Guided by codes, the feed modules can also assemble documents and transfer them at a corresponding speed to the inserting system. “The MK-Series Inserting Machine is currently the fastest multi-format machine and the second-fastest inserting machine on the market,” Ackermann emphasised. Thanks to its unique filling process, the MK-Series Inserting Machine is gentle both on the documents to be processed as well as the envelopes, even at high processing speeds.
Greater flexibility thanks to shorter resetting times
Apart from its high speed, the all-in-one inserter is very easy to use. The intuitive three-button system and ideal operating height simplify machine-handling for the user. Due to its compact dimensions and shorter resetting times, along with the possibility of processing all kinds of envelope formats, the MK-Series Inserting Machine provides the client with maximum flexibility.
The MK-Series Inserting Machine is designed for working environments in which large numbers of letters with all kinds of formats accumulate, such as direct mailing companies and utility providers. Neusoft Medical intends to acquire equities in Philips-Neusoft Medical Systems joint venture from Philips

SHENYANG, China /PRNewswire/ — Neusoft Corporation (“Neusoft”, SSE:600718) announced today that it has signed a Term Sheet with Philips on the proposed transaction of shares and assets in Philips and Neusoft Medical Systems Co., Ltd. (“PNMS”). According to the Term Sheet, Neusoft’s wholly-owned subsidiary Neusoft Medical System Co., Ltd. (“Neusoft Medical”) and its overseas associates intend to acquire 51% equities in PNMS held by Philips. Upon the completion of the proposed transaction, all intellectual property rights of PNMS will be shared by both Neusoft and Philips. In addition, a team of approximately 100 to 150 Computed Tomography (CT) system and component engineers and supporting staff will transfer from the joint venture to Philips.
According to Neusoft, the joint venture had fulfilled its mission over the past years, as evidenced by a large number of competitive products and intellectual property rights. The successful performance of PNMS has built a solid foundation for both sides to further optimize their respective global deployment and improve their competitiveness. With this transaction, Neusoft and Philips will be able to develop new products based on their previous achievements in a more flexible manner in line with their respective strategies, which will further support their long-term strategic targets and plans to help them cope better with new opportunities and challenges in the global market.

SHANGHAI/PRNewswire/ — In recent years, the rapid development of China’s economy has not only improved people’s quality of life on a grand scale, but has also led to a massive boom in domestic tourism. The China Clean Expo 2013, organised by UBM Sinoexpo, and scheduled to take place on 1-3 April 2013, will act as a one-stop trading platform showcasing cleaning equipment, cleaning tools and cleaning chemicals for the hotel industry while also covering a series of products ranging from disinfectants and toilet products to dustproof materials and more. The concurrently held HOTELEX Shanghai will display catering equipment, table wares, security defence equipment and other kinds of hotel products. The mega show is expected to cover a total exhibition area of 400,000 square metres and attract 2800 exhibitors and 100,000 visitors.

Twelve-Month Outcomes of Popliteal Artery Treatment with the Supera(R) Peripheral Stent System Published in JACC Cardiovascular Interventions

WEBSTER, Texas /PRNewswire/ — IDEV Technologies today announced the publication of positive clinical outcomes for the Supera® Peripheral Stent System in the Journal of American College of Cardiology (JACC) Cardiovascular Interventions. The publication, “Treatment of Complex Atherosclerotic Popliteal Artery Disease with a New Self-Expanding Interwoven Nitinol Stent: 12-Month Results of the Leipzig Supera Popliteal Registry,” was authored by Dierk Scheinert, MD and colleagues from Park Krankenhaus Hospital in Leipzig, Germany.
In the Leipzig experience, 101 consecutive patients were implanted with 125 Supera stentsand studied. Total occlusions were present in 47.5% of the patients, and 49.5% of the patients were diabetic. The mean length of implanted stents was 84.3mm with a range of 40mm to 240mm. The primary patency rate at 12 months was 87.7%. Zero stent fractures were reported.
“To achieve SFA-like patency results at 12 months in stenting of these significantly diseased poplitieal arteries validates Supera as a treatment option for patients that would not have been offered a standard nitinol stent for their disease,” noted Professor Scheinert. “The finding of zero stent fractures in the popliteal artery, a vessel subject to high forces of compression, torque, rotation and flexion, validates the unique Supera design and the associated benefits of this vascular mimetic stent.”
To derive information that was both scientifically and clinically meaningful, the registry intentionally allowed enrollment of patients with a wide range of obstructions, including long lesions, total occlusions, and calcified vessels, without pre-specified inclusion and exclusion criteria. As a result, the patient cohort represents a real-world population recognizable by physicians.
