As night fell, the facade of the renowned Pavillon Cambon Capucine, decorated in the colours of G.H.MUMM, turned into a reflection of the Maison Cordon Rouge in Reims. The Pavillon thereby became a very exclusive location, reserved for the Maison’s guests and close friends. Some 300 visitors from all round the world were welcomed by Cesar Giron, Chairman and CEO of Pernod SA, alongside Didier Mariotti, the House’s Cellar Master. Guests included the Israeli artist Noma Bar, who worked in close synergy with the Champagne house in illustrating the Champagne Protocoles de G.H.MUMM with elegance, humour et modernity.

Famous French actor Lambert Wilson honoured the occasion with his presence by opening the ceremony and proposing a toast. Telling about the campaign, Wilson said: “I am delighted to be here, and I find G.H.MUMM’s campaign around the rituals of champagne fascinating. It’s amazing to celebrate the champagne culture while rediscovering its authenticity from a different angle. I’ve discovered a host of rituals which were new to me and which I now intend to use to impress my friends!”

Amongst the other VIPs were also artist Louis-Marie de Castelbajac, Jet Setter Emmanuel de Brantes, Oliver Coursier et Simon Buret (AarRON group), film producer Regis Wargnier, French actors Stanislas Merhar and Christopher Thompson,

Designers Olivia Putman , Alexandra Van Houtte & Chantal Thomass, World’s best Sommelier Philippe Faure-Brac, Stephane Bern, Allyson Paradis, Francis Holder.

In the Pavillon Cambon Capucine’s majestic reception hall, guests had the chance to discover the G.H.MUMM champagne culture through a contemporary ball of the utmost refinement. At 9.45pm, just as a spectacular waltz of wine waiters, choreographed by Stephane Jarny, descended the Pavillon’s monumental staircase and crossed the room, a set of pillars lit up to unveil G.H.MUMM’s end-of-year latest creations, the Protocoles Deluxe Case and the Protocoles Gift Box. The MUMM Box, a great luminous checkerboard, marked the official start of the G.H.MUMM Ball, accompanied by the music of DJ Florian Sailer.

In-VitroCell CO2 incubators utilize a single source dual wave infrared (IR) sensor to maintain accurate CO2 gas levels in the growth chamber. The wavelengths used are absorbed by only CO2 making the measurement insensitive to other components such as water vapor. A large seven (7) cubic foot (200 Liter) interior chamber is surrounded by heating elements on all six (6) sides of the chamber encased by high density R5 insulation to create a smaller incubator footprint. Dual temperature sensor probes to maintain precise temperature uniformity while an individual door heat controlling minimizes condensation build up on the inner glass door. The inner chamber is constructed of 16 gauge, type 304L, polished stainless steel using crevice-free construction, which provides an easily cleanable inert surface that does NOT promote biological growth. All shelves, shelf supports, and guide rails are easily removable and can be autoclaved separately. Models NU-5810 and higher offer two heated sterilization cycles that can be selected to eradicate contaminating agents where the chamber will heat up to 95 degrees Celsius humidified decontamination or 145 degrees Celsius dry sterilization. As an optional feature, customers may add CuVerro® Antimicrobial Copper Surfaces to the incubator growth chamber and/or shelving to kill bacteria* to minimize potential incubator contamination. CuVerro® is laboratory tested and EPA registered. CuVerro® Antimicrobial Copper Surfaces kill more than 99.9% of bacteria* within 2 hours, and continues to kill 99% of bacteria* even after repeated contamination, when cleaned regularly. A Closed Loop HEPA Filtration system offers ISO Class 5 Conditions similar to a cleanroom. The chamber is maintained at positive pressure to prevent contaminated room air from entering the chamber. The chamber air is continuously HEPA filtered and sampled to maintain a clean and uniform chamber lowering airflow to a single air change every 20 minutes to minimize cell desiccation. The NuTouch Intelligent Interface is a user-friendly color touch screen offered in English, Spanish, German, and French. Chamber parameters are easily controlled by the touch of a finger. Onscreen descriptions and instructions are available if clarification is needed. The NuAire In-VitroCell ES line of CO2 incubators provide constant contamination control (C3) against potential contaminates that may disrupt your research. Contact NuAire to get your budgetary quote on and advance your research with reliable In-VitroCell CO2 Incubators.

* Laboratory testing shows that, when cleaned regularly, CuVerro® antimicrobial copper surfaces kill greater than 99.9% of the following bacteria within 2 hours of exposure: MRSA, Staphylococcus aureus, Enterobacter aerogenes, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and E. coli O157:H7. CuVerro® antimicrobial copper surfaces are a supplement to and not a substitute for standard infection control practices and have been shown to reduce microbial contamination, but do not necessarily prevent cross contamination; users must continue to follow all current infection control practices, including those practices related to cleaning and disinfection of environmental surfaces. The release of the fast paced, multi-line, community game “Slots Friendzy,” looks set to keep them at the forefront of game innovation.
Riding on the back of the launch of GBP4million “Just for the Jackpotjoy of it” advertising campaign, this latest addition to Jackpotjoys’s award winning Slots portfolio captures the fun spirit of the TV ads. With unique features like: Friendzy Time sees Friendzy characters play with the reels, switch symbols, and create wilds to enhance winnings and the Wheel of Friendzy, where players can spin for instant cash prizes, free spins and extra bonus rounds.
“With so many new things happening on jackpotjoy.com since the launch of the new campaign and now Slots Friendzy, it’s a very exciting time to join the site,” explains Managing Director Michael Saunders, “we love the features and the dynamic graphics of the game and when you’re playing, it feels like you’re on a roller coaster ride – you’re never sure what’s waiting for you around the corner!”
Another original feature members are able to enjoy is the innovative Jackpot features – when the Progressive is won on Slots Friendzy, a Community Jackpot of the same value is shared amongst everyone playing the game at the time, this means that the Jackpot is paid out twice!
“This game is so utterly different to anything people have seen on online gaming sites,” continued Saunders, “and we’re really proud of what we’ve created in terms of both innovation and entertainment with Slots Friendzy, so it will be really exciting to see how people react to the game.”

Cruise Shipping Asia-Pacific Names Speakers for On-Board Localization and Air-Cruise Master Classes

leave a comment »

HAMILTON, N.J. /PRNewswire/ — The second annual Cruise Shipping Asia-Pacific conference and exhibition will feature two master classes on the topics of localizing the shipboard product to different markets and cruise line/airline cooperation. The event is scheduled for Sept. 17-18, 2012, at the Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore.
Scheduled to participate in the “Localizing the On-Board Experience and Revenues” master class are Naohiko Yamaguchi, director, group leader Onboard Service Management Group, for Mitsui OSK Passenger Line; Ole-Kristian Sivertsen, senior vice president, business development & chief evangelist, for Maritime Communications Partner, and Lisa Vogt, director, global brand business partner (Asia Pacific), for Royal Caribbean International.
In describing the content of his master class, Yamaguchi points out differences in Japanese passenger behavior.
“Japanese cruise guest behavior on board may be different from other nationalities in many ways,” said Yamaguchi. “They are relatively quiet on board and pleased with what is included in the cruise fare. However, they do not hesitate to pay for optional tours and local souvenirs, as they think destinations are more important. Cruise operators must understand ‘sense of fairness’ to cater to Japanese guests.”
Sivertsen says that new mobile technology is driving the passenger experience.
“Smartphones is the fastest spreading technology in human history, and a revolutionary shift in how people consume digital content, connect and communicate,” said Sivertsen. “How can cruise lines tap into the opportunities of this mobile revolution in order to connect with existing and new customers, enhance passenger experience and increase onboard revenue?
“This session will explore revenue opportunities represented by mobile devices, mobile social media and mobile marketing,” Sivertsen continued. “References and success stories will be shared to deliver key takeaways that can immediately translate into action and powerful results in the cruise industry.”
Vogt points out that Royal Caribbean has been successfully operating in the Asia-Pacific region for years, and has adjusted its product to meet guest expectations.
“Royal Caribbean International is committed to the Asia Pacific region and has focused on customizing the onboard experience and vessel hardware to maximize guest satisfaction,” said Vogt. “These efforts have been met with strong regional growth, industry recognition and customer loyalty to further strengthen our dedication to this market.”
The second master class session, “Partnering with Airlines to Develop the Air-Cruise Model,” examines the necessity for airlines and cruise lines to work together — along with hotels and trains — to integrate operations.
Participating in that session are Buhdy Bok, vice president Asia Pacific and China, for Costa Crociere, and Sheldon Hee, head of marketing communications and development, for Singapore Airlines.
Hee suggests that it is essential for cruise lines and airlines to focus on strategic partnerships.
“We must find synergies beyond tactical promotions by studying opportunities to expand the air-cruise partnership,” said Hee. “We must seek to create an integrated value proposition for the customer, while leveraging the natural strengths and advantages of each partner.”
Also slated to speak at Cruise Shipping Asia-Pacific are Christine Duffy, president and chief executive officer of Cruise Lines International Association; Ann Sherry, chief executive officer of Carnival Australia; Gianni Onorato, president of Costa Crociere; Roberto Giorgi, president of V.Ships, and Dr. Zinan Liu managing director China and Asia for Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.
