Wincor Nixdorf, a global provider of IT solutions and services to retail banks and retailers, will demonstrate how retailers can increase productivity, achieve operational excellence and enhance the consumer shopping experience at Retail World Asia 2011 in Singapore. The trade event is Asia’s most comprehensive showcase of retail technologies and a platform for major retailers to share ideas and experiences with the aim to advance the growth of the retail sector in Asia.

The German retail technology company will demonstrate a combination of hardware and software innovations that are designed to enhance retail operations and the end consumer experience in the store.

At booth 4B01 at Retail World Asia 2011, Wincor Nixdorf will showcase Cash Cycle Management Solution (CCMS) for the first time to retailers in Singapore and Asia Pacific.

CCMS is the first-of-its-kind combination of retail hardware, software and services that is designed to secure cash and enhance the entire store operations. It was developed to increase operational productivity through automating cash processes and shortening the cash logistics chain in retail stores. By doing so, retailers can reduce the costs associated with cash handling in stores and allow employees to be free to devote more time to improving customer service and sales. The automation process also means that consumers can spend less time at the checkout zone and have more control of their transactions.

Meanwhile, retailers who want to improve their understanding of customer preferences and enhance their decision making can do so through Wincor Nixdorf’s business intelligence. This is linked to Wincor Nixdorf’s loyalty software known as TPReward. Through in-store kiosks, promotions can be targeted at customers based on their preferences from data and detailed analysis collected through the business intelligence and TPReward software.

Also on display is an integrated POS solution targeted at small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to support storewide activities. It consists of Wincor Nixdorf’s BEETLE /mini POS hardware unit and powered by new TPExpress software. The POS solution can manage inventory, minimise shrinkage and produce reports to provide critical insights into sales trends.
